Rising to New Heights
Our Dalby-based team has recently completed the next stage of an extensive network build for an energy company on the Darling Downs.
This stage saw the team implement new two-way radio infrastructure including repeaters and new antennas across a number of sites. This updated two-way radio network provides extended voice and data communications capabilities for the firm.
RCST previously installed very high bandwidth point-to-point microwave links as backhaul for the company’s network including the trunked two-way radio network.
RCST Delivers New LTE Network
RCST has designed, installed and commissioned a private LTE network to support a Fleet Management System and other applications for a global mining company. The network supports high-speed data communications to a fleet of vehicles and replaced an ageing slower network. The new network is based on Huawei’s LTE system which not only provided the organisation with robust communications over greater distances but also enables the organisation to increase bandwidth as required.
Remote Data Centre Deployed
RCST has recently deployed a containerised data centre (CDC) for a customer in a North Queensland remote location.
The Huawei 20-foot container was fitted with racks, uninterruptible power supplies, a swipe card access control system and CCTV cameras in RCST’s Mackay branch. Full testing of the dual air-conditioning systems, power systems and access control system was completed prior to the two-day road trip to the final location on a standard container truck.
Several 40-foot versions of the CDC are also available that can include solar panels for fully autonomous operations. RCST is a Huawei Certified Service Partner for their Network Energy family of solutions.
RCST completed the on-site installation of the CDC including racking and stacking of all equipment as well as providing training for the local team that will use the data centre.
